"BIG GIRL" MUSIC VIDEO

The Boiler Room teamed with Natives of the New Dawn in filming their first music video, "BIG GIRL". I served as producer/art director. Full behind the scenes photo gallery here...

The song theme suggests a luckless musician beleaguered by his more mature girlfriend, who's fed up with his try-try-again lifestyle. The idea: present The Natives in their "natural habitat," in this case a decaying garage complete with man-cave. Watch the video below...

Budget was miniscule, set dec consisting mostly of found items (excluding band instruments). The homeowners' garage was already chock-full of knickknacks simply in need of rearranging. Otherwise, set-dresser Kate Zarvis and I strategically patina'd and scattered a score of leftover junk I'd pirated from a SIX-FLAGS commercial.

Many of the props being tossed on the lawn were likewise thanks to opportune dumpster-diving. Special thanks to Mr. Six.
